The Institute of Meteorology (BOKU-Met) has been active in the research topics agrometeorology, applied meteorology and bioclimatology, atmospheric radiation, climate and climate impact, and environmental meteorology for more than three decades. The institute, which belongs to the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, is located in the Gregor-Mendel-Haus in the 18th district of Vienna.
BOKU-Met operates a weather station and additionally performs routine measurements of aerosols, radiation, and reactive trace gases on the roof of the Franz-Schwackhöfer-Haus, located in the 19th district of Vienna.
