Sun photometer (mounted on a suntracker) on the roof of Bruno-Sander-Haus.

Our ACTRIS related focus is on trace gas and aerosol ground based remote sensing. We are involved in spectral measurements with Pandora spectrometers for trace gas remote sensing and operate a sun photometer to retrieve aerosol optical depth (AOD) and other aerosol related parameters. Our long-term AOD measurement series goes back to the year 2007.

Role in ACTRIS:

    • ACTRIS Austria coordinator
    • Contributing to trace gas remote sensing
    • Operating a central facility unit
        • Trace gas remote sensing (CREGARS), unit: UVVIS-AT

Retrievals:

    • Aerosols (remote sensing)
    • Meteorology parameter
    • Cloud camera
